Sarah Homes' Whiteley 2 Storey design is a fabulous
entertainer which also allows everyone to enjoy their
own space, both upstairs and down

The Whiteley 2 Storey by Sarah Homes is ideal for a family that wants a holiday home or a design which makes them feel like they're on vacation. Suited to a large family or those with lots of friends, the home has picture windows and sliding doors to make the most of the views. "The upstairs deck and veranda is custom designed by each client depending on their home's location and design brief," Sarah Homes marketing manager Helen Lowrie says, adding: "The catalogue floorplan demonstrates two outside entertaining areas, one to the front and one to the side of the home. However, these can be modified."

The main living space, which includes a modern kitchen and meals area, is on the upper level also to take advantage of views. That kitchen has a generous walk-in pantry and island bench which can be used as a breakfast bar and for food preparation. A large bedroom with a built-in robe and ensuite, which includes a vanity, toilet, and shower, powder room and separate toilet, are also upstairs. The three minor bedrooms are on the lower level, two of them have built-in robes while the third could easily be used as a home office or study.

Another living space, with a sliding door to outside, is also on the ground floor. The laundry, with the convenience of a door to make a beeline to the clothesline, and a large three-way bathroom with a bathtub are also on the lower level. The clever layout of the home means there is not only more than enough room for spending time together as a family or entertaining, but everyone also has their own space. "The Whiteley two-storey can be zoned to have adults upstairs and children downstairs," Helen says.
