MARIANE Marks has invested in a slice of resort-style living she loves to share with family and friends. Her contemporary, two-storey home built on the popular South Coast by Sarah Homes is aptly named Ocean View because it delivers them in abundance. "I love the light in it and the way you can see all the way to Victor Harbor from the upper, decked veranda area," Mariane says. The grandmother of five says you can also enjoy good views to Goolwa Beach, the River Murray and its mouth from various vantage points, including the balcony area of the master bedroom.

To ensure all the sea views could be maximised, changes had to be made to the home's original plan. "That's because we needed all the glass slide doors and windows to be facing the ocean," she says. "We also wanted the aspect to the road to be aesthetically pleasing, so we added a number of plinths and upgraded the facade. "Sarah Homes were very accommodating and understanding through all of it."

The home's upper level living areas - inside and out - offer flexible entertaining and relaxation zones, all providing top-shelf sea and coastal views. It offers more than 183sqm of living space alone, complemented by more than 42sqm of decked patio space on the upper level. The main outdoor entertaining zone, with raked ceiling, spans almost 36sqm. The ground floor offers three bedrooms and an open plan, family/living zone adjoining a handy kitchenette and large bathroom, also with beach views.

Upstairs, the main kitchen is finished with bamboo flooring while the master bedroom opens to a compact balcony area finished with hardwood decking. The main bedroom also boasts an ensuite bathroom while there's a third toilet and vanity area for extra convenience upstairs. The main kitchen includes corner pantry, breakfast bar and dishwasher.
