Emily's great for a getaway lifestyle
A "simple design with a big heart" is how Sarah Homes describes its Emily house designs. Emily's "lifestyle" design has all the hallmarks of a holiday getaway, with a central kitchen opening directly on to a spacious decked area. There also are three bedrooms with a main bathroom and ensuite, and another informal area where you can put your feet up.
All rooms have big picture windows so those inside can enjoy great views over the deck, side and rear. Continuing the open and modern style, the dining and living room flows out from the kitchen and is surrounded by windows to help filter light throughout the house.
The home is clad in a lightweight HardiPlank, coloured a pretty blue, and accented with white timberwork and windows.
Helen Lowrie, from Sarah Homes, said it was a simple design that was ideal for a holiday home by the coast or in the country. "One of the Emily's key features is the large front decking, which has been incorporated under the roofline," she said.
"This means you benefit from a sheltered external entertainment area with direct access from the gallery kitchen. "So, in fact, the kitchen's location is vital to its design, especially in relation to the alfresco area - making it east for the owners to cook and serve. "The Emily has been built as a complete product - what you see on display (apart from the furniture) is what you actually get."
