Sarah Homes' Streeton 3 can be your ideal
Words by John Merriman.
Weatherboard cladding and two separate decks give the Streeton 3 a distinctive rural feel. The simple, three bedroom home costs about $70,000 to build and is an ideal holiday home for those with a modest budget. Sarah Homes Marketing Manager Helen Lowrie said large windows at the front of the home allowed for views from the kitchen, dining and living rooms, as well as providing plenty of natural light.
"The price is one of the most appealing aspects of this design as it can make the difference between someone being able to afford a holiday home or not," she said. "We can customize the home to suit individual requirements whether it is a client's desire or a difficult block to build on." The kitchen includes a raised breakfast bar with double sink, overhead cupboards, stainless steel rangehood and white tile splashback. It overlooks the meals area, set in a large bay with two windows and sliding doors either side.
As displayed, the home has two blue feature walls framing the single, central living area. The main bedroom suite and one of the minor bedrooms, include built in wardrobes. The bedrooms run off a private hallway shard with the three-way bathroom and adjacent laundry. All three bedrooms also have large picture windows.
"The Streeton 3 can also be elevated to take advantage of views or to suit sloping allotments," Helen said. "Decking at the front of the home can be extended and built to suit any block size or clients' requirements. It provides great indoor/outdoor entertaining options for the home owner." The floors feature easy-to-clean tiles in the bathroom, laundry, kitchen and living areas. Hard-wearing carpet has been used in the three bedrooms.
